'Kitsch Memory' aims to explore the relationship between kitsch and Y2K and to present a deeper understanding of how kitsch reflects and shapes our cultural values. To achieve this goal and present the history of kitsch in the Y2K period, I have designed a newspaper consisting of four sections, focusing on the Y2K era and its aesthetics, Y2K fashion, retro-futurism style, and a timeline of tech companies. The aim is to introduce the important things that occurred during that period. As a traditional communication medium in the 2000s, the newspaper is a suitable medium for delving into the history and definition of kitsch, as well as its various forms and expressions. By highlighting the significance of kitsch in our cultural landscape, I hope to contribute to a greater appreciation of this often overlooked art form.
